Man arrested for stealing from primary school pupil

The police have arrested a 36-year-old man for stealing from a primary school pupil along Senja Road.
The victim was walking home from school with his friend on Tuesday at about 4.15pm, when the suspect approached them along the footpath of Block 609 Senja Road and snatched the victim's pouch.
The man then escaped on a bicycle towards the direction of Block 603 Senja Road. The victim and his friend gave chase but lost sight of him.
They ran back to their school and alerted a staff who then called the police.
