Police arrested a 25-year-old man on Tuesday for suspected involvement in loansharking activities.
Officers from Jurong Police Division, while on patrol, spotted a man behaving suspiciously at an ATM in the vicinity of Woodlands Civic Centre.
Loanshark-related paraphernalia including one mobile phone containing debtors' records, about $360 in cash, a stack of ATM transaction receipts and four ATM cards were found in his possession.
The man is believed to be a debtor-turned-runner who assisted loansharks by performing ATM fund transactions, said the police in a statement on Wednesday.
