Does this prove anything? There are just as many, if not more, ex-Buddhists, ex-Taoists, ex-non-believers, ex-Muslims, ex-prisoners....and many other 'exes' who become Christians.

If you have rubbish to teach people, you should shut up.

To some people, rubbish is something very unworthy, but to some people rubbish can be great treasure. One of the wealthiest persons in China is a woman who saw trash/rubbish as treasure while others saw them as really rubbish. She imported tons and tons of rubbish - those discarded paper and cardboards from U.S. and Europe - and recycled and turned them new paper and now she owned one the biggest paper manufacturing companies in the world. So, don't underestimate the value of rubbish.

Like the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the word of God, the Bible, very few see it as great treasure while the majority of the people see it as 'rubbish'. We are warned by Jesus not to give what is holy to the dogs and not to cast pearls to the swines so as to avoid these value pearls trample under their feet. Worse, these dogs and swines may turn and tear you down (Matthew 7:6). Sound familiar? In Philippians 3:8, it also tells us that we should consider everything loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, our Lord, and we must do every thing possible so that we can gain Christ.

Even rubbish is still something - some consider it as worthless; some consider it as valuable. But when it comes to nothing, it is nothing because nothing is zero and you can add 10, 20, or 100 zeros to a zero, it is still zero.

Jesus is in the 'business' of cycling trash, repented sinners like us, that is believers - let me emphaise 'like us, repented sinners' (and not you, so don't take offence). He can turn trash and become His treasured possession. Just like unwanted trash, if no one valued them and they cannot be recycled into any other usable things, they will be destroyed and burnt in hot-furnance. The word of God, the Bible tells us that a hot furnance that God has created to burn the trash that refused to let Him cycle into His treasured possesion is called 'Hell'.

ah, book of john. according to biblical historians and scholars, this book was written NOT by john but by somebody else in 96AD which give it about 70 years after the death of jesus.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_John#Authorship

if you can write a true account of your great grandfather's deed that happened 70 years ago in the year 2012, do you think you have accuracy and would you "add extra ingredient" into it as well?

Perhaps Stamford Raffles did not exist since he was written about nearly 200 years ago. We must live in a sad world, for none of the thousands of historical figures, from Cao Cao to Napoleon, were very accurate.

there is a difference between history and religions. Religions state that the bible is fact and inspired by god and is infallible and cannot be doubt. But if you look at the bible from the historical view, it fell into changes, modifications, alterations, deletions addition throughout the history. forget about those stories about scribes will copy word for word without any mistakes, less a stroke will not be missed until end of times etc...

Dont take my word for this. Please view Bart Ehrman's Misquoting jesus and ...

history are written by the victors and those in power. in japan, the entire history of WWII and rape of nanking are left out intentionally from the secondary school text books as dictated by the education department and government.

well, the usual case of pointing to an event whether it is true or false is to use alternate source of information to triangulate to the events and confirm with facts. there is no point that you can claim the bible is fact, but historically nobody have seen or heard about jesus except for jesephsus' entry. alright historically, jesus as a figure did exists but all those stories about walking on water, turning water into wine, resurrect etc... who can verify that? mary had been written out from the early scriptures due to the sexist stance back then in the old days and they dont want to see mary as a main disciple, instead they crowned peter as the main disciple.

for more details on this, please look up on the historical fact of the Cathars.

you are trying very hard to compare apples with oranges ....you are comparing a fairy tales story book full of magical story like the talking snake , staying alive in a fish stomach for 3 days ...ect to a history book ...that show us how small your brain is

yes it does cos as you will find out if you had , these ex christians were actually evangelists and preachers and pastors and leaders of their churches!!.
a few more that i have told you about are Joshua evans, Jerald Dirks, Bart Erhmann, Elaine Pagels etc etc

sad if youre on that side I know but you have to search and research the truth.

whats even quite amazing but not surprising is that if you watch the video from 12mins on , Dan reveals that there are numerous preachers who are getting up on sunday morning to preach but they do not believe what they are preaching anymore.

He is saying that some people consider the Bible rubbish but some consider this 'rubbish' as a source of great treasures.

He is not actually saying Jesus is rubbish.

Thanks for clarifying......

A person is a person....cannot be rubbish....but what he said can either be of value to one group but it can be rubbish to another group. To some people, relatively speaking compared to the total world population, Bible, the word of God, is a great treasure book but to myan people they just treat it as rubbish.
