I think the problem is that rentals getting so high that whatever profits they are making are going towards rentals.

HDB is supposed to be occupied by the buyer. It is not meant as investment. Reduce the FT and make rental illegal.

High rental are not caused by cheap foreign labour. In fact the cheap foreign labor depresses local wages in what is known as "wage dumping" or "social dumping"

High rentals usually means greater profits for those who control the malls. So you will have to ask the PAP why Temasek is so greedy.

HDB is supposed to be occupied by the buyer. It is not meant as investment. Reduce the FT and make rental illegal.

Yeah HDB should be for own stay while private is for investment. Build so many HDB flats for what if they are to be rented out to FT? Bring more foreign workers in to build more flats and need to cater housing, transport and recreation space for the foreign workers.
