Yes of course, in the final analysis its always safety before comfort and economy of operations.

RIP
and slightly off topic
this goes to show that people, especially so called important ones should not complain if they were expecting business class reclining 180 seats and when they made the flight, they got a plane with 160 reclining seats

it could be that that particular "promised" air craft had mechanical trouble

and complain all for the sake of getting a $200 airline voucher

Very very sudden is the most likely explanation. The plane can however send out its own distress signals via ACARS but so far no mention of this in the news.

Remember the frog aircraft that crash in south Atlantic a few years back? Any chance same type of accident? Although I remember the frog pilot did send out distress calls.

Even though the majority are Chinese I, as a Malay, have said a quiet prayer for them and their families. All Malays, likewise, are saying their quiet prayers for them and their families.

Maybe should invite those Non Malay/muslims to hear friday jumaat sermon. Then they believe. Better still write to MUIS and request for the script.

8000 people are killed on Malaysian roads annually. That's 2 plane loads per month.

The small number involved in this plane crash are nothing in comparison.

Unfortunately most are mat rempits or uncles going too slow on motorbikes. and therefore got shoved off the narrow road by bigger cars.

The Malaysian ISD planted the bomb on the plane. With the crash...social media and mainstream media will be diverted from the Anwar conviction of 5 years by the court yesterday...

Hi, that particular flight flew through a big band of really bad weather and had issues related to it. The weather this time round does not appear to be anything like what Air France experienced. This time of the year the weather over the South China Sea is fairly benign until the typhoon season begins end June.
So it is unlikely that MAS had the same kind of incident.

Many years back, somebody from maintenance tried several times to sabo MAS planes. Then when Qantas sent their planes to MAS for maintenance, same thing happened.

you shd appreciate Chinks treat Javanese Mat like you as trading partners. Chinks can take over Mats lands anytime. Perhaps long time ago Chinks already see you Javanese Mat lazy and dumb and no threats to Chinks.

Chinks teach you to make money, educate you but you Javanese Mats also cannot think? Probably give up on you mat long time ago.

Javanese Mats should thanks Chinks take care of you and stopped West White shits like Pommies to take over your land and destroyed the whole Mat people.

Look at Australia, only 200,000 aboriginals left in Australia. Pushed and grouped all of them into NT and feed them with alcohols and drugs and no jobs there.

So Mats, be grateful to Chinks.

Chinks are not squatters, Chink build houses for you to squat instead. See you cannot learn to do simple biz, make you Mat drivers, clean jambans and dig roads- kiau tor.

Spoken like a typical slant-eyed, slit-eyed worthless pariah of a dirty, squatter Chink.

Even though the majority are Chinese I, as a Malay, have said a quiet prayer for them and their families. All Malays, likewise, are saying their quiet prayers for them and their families.

That's the stark difference between you fucking hopeless low-classed squatter Chink parasites squatting in our land and us Malays.

You worthless low-classed, slant-eyed, slit-eyed squatter Chink parasites will spout racism even in tragedy.

In the Chink language that only slitty eyed Chink parasite squatting in our Malay land can understand, I say to you and your ilk: KAN NI NA BU CHAO CHI BAI!!!

Have been reading a lot from the aviation forums and have a couple of questions.
1) This aircraft was involved in an accident in Shanghai where the wing tip was damaged (rip off as I recall). With poor maintenance, could this have been a contributory factor?
2) The aircraft lost radar contact at cruising altitude with no mention of a distress call being made by either pilot. Is this not really odd?
Statistically, most incidents happen during taxiing, take-off and landing but this happened two hours into the flight and presumably on auto-pilot.

Hoping for the best but unfortunately preparing for the worst...

Chinese passengers fighting inside plane again?

Chiness relatives screaming and shouting at Peking Airport, in the best tradition of the communist party.

1. This is quite unlikely because a wing tip damage is usually not a serious structural damage and I would think that they would have also inspected the wing root to see if it were affected.

2. If the pilots recognised that there was a serious issue and that aircraft safety was going to be compromised then they would have made the Mayday or distress call. Not to have done this would point to the event being very very sudden such that the pilots couldnt make the call.
