Sometimes I really no luck :( I see people getting retrenched and in all my working life I have never been retrenched before. When I first started working after 3 yrs heard rumors about retrenchment exercise. Waited and waited no news until I got a better paying job and resigned and less than 4 months they held a retrenchment exercise. Then in the private sector 1 by 1 of the departments get retreanched except mine. In the end they told me plant shut down go to Batam as a sup or resign. Finally in SMRT I see other depts. having multiple retrenchment exercise and I kept telling my boss and big boss to put my name on the retrenchment list but they screw me over. I see people left and right of me getting the golden hand shake except me. All I got were their jobs stacking up in my in tray:( Finally I called it quits and threw in my retirement letter.
Replacing him with a shit skin is the dumbest thing to do. No matter the amount spent it's all down the drain cos the shit skin would fuck it up the father would have done a better job than the skin. They should have replaced him with a tiong or a younger local chinese singaporean.

I am born & bred here..have lived through the times...when we were fishing villages to what we are here..it is very common for SINgapore employers to screw SINgapore workers...as what I have stated, have enough experiences working..what no pink IC??...

If you have a home, car, child & try to get a decent quality of life, how many of us can save enough for retirement after spending on all that
I recently asked if $50,000/per year was enough for retirement. Many didn't think so because of all the unknown costs e.g. medical, inflation ,.... can bankrupt you. Good luck to you if you have to pay for a home, family, car,....AND be able to save enough to have $50,000/year
