cannot find the thread on ip5 and galaxy s3 so post here. one of the best feature of iphone is the physical switch on the left side of the phone which allow you to mute the phone without taking out from pocket. s3 cannot mute like this.

Chon, did not call you last night because did not want to spoil your company dinner. Anyway I left Pattaya 11pm and arrived home (after sending the farang to Westin) at 1.30pm.

Just arrived in Wine I Love You, they just opened (4pm)

Just chosen a bottle of French Aura from Coteaux Du Languedoc a very good blend (Syrah and Grenache), one of the very rare French I like

Last night was quite jialat for me as I am the usual target for chon kaew (empty glass) but very happy the guests had a great time.I am organising another big one during X'mas time. If possible, hope you can join in. I am considering sea sand sun resort but need to work out the budget first.

Larb Moo Thod in a high-so wine restaurant? Yaa why not?

Larb moo thod is minced pork packed with lots of Thai herb and is associated with "low class" food but surprisingly it works with red wine perfectly.

Morning in a small Soi

Most people are familiar with the term Soi in Thailand, it means street. So major road could have many sois along it just lke our Geylang Road having many lorongs. Sois are similarly organised like our lorongs with odd Sois on one side and even Sois on the other side. So, many people live in Sois. Some of these Sois could be quite deep in a major road and as such can be quite "kampong".

Near my house there is a small soi that has many stalls every morning selling cooked food as well as fresh food and also housewares. I'd like to share some of this small soi morning life with you guy here.

Sawasdi joetys and cbfc. Nice pics of soi this morning, representative of day's start to amazing thailand. One thing that impresses me is how stall holders take pride with their neat and clean setup (unlike some other lesser places elsewhere). And cbfc, your slice of big mango too (night scene, your speciality +555).

Miss my khao niao mamuang. Bkk business trip 26/11 (u-turn) but will scratch my Lanna itch post xmas. Sin city beckons??:p

For Bro Blur,

On over planning when runroading.
Here's how my runroading started. After I ROD, I tried to apply for jobs with travelling opportunities even if if I don't like the job and pay is low. This allow me to use the time to recce the countries whenever I go on a working trips. Also got many oversea contacts and lobangs. Started saving and came out with a nice runroad plan with a target savings.Unfortunately, the so-called target savings was never met. Each time, when I am so close to the figure, something will happen and I need to spend the money. Then I realize I am over planning, eg. must have X amount of money, must find a stable job, must have a property etc.

Worst, something unpleasant happen along the way, and all my savings become zero and I was in debt for the first time. It was at this time, I learnt many PRC in Sinking land just came here with minimum funds and plans. Some survive and some don't. Overall their mentality is very positive, if they don't make it this time round, they will try again the next time. From then on, I just came with a reasonable and achievable figure and start my runroad adventure again. I also cleared all my debts and housing loans. This is important cos' hard to runroad with the burden of having to service the housing loans. The last and final attempt was successful.

Also important is have to ignore the negative comments by others, some even coming from family members and good friends. I told them this is my choice and even if it is a bad decision, at least I made a choice.
