sigh... no richard dun speak german but french. He grew up in normandy, he dont like england at all.
after the battle of hasting, england fell to the norman king who rule both sided of the channel. that why got the Hundred years War between the england and french as the french want the norman aka english kings out of french lands.
as for the current queen of england, her grandfather was a german. they suppose to have a german surname but due to WW1, they change it to windsor so that the british public dont view them as germans as you know, UK fought against germany in WW1.
the mongols are not stronger than the chinese, their population is not even 5% of the chinese but the Song Dynasty distrust her own generals. as the first Song emperor himself revolted against his own ruler to found the Song Dynasty, he always afraid his generals with do the same thing to him so he set up many policies to prevent his generals from becoming too strong but also meant the troops fighting abilities are not as good. This tradition maintain till the fall of Song.
while Song was famous for being a weak state but in real term Song was not as weak as percieved. Song Dynasty was consider the golden age of chinese commerce. the state was financially very strong despite its lands only about 40% of Tang. Apparently the Song emperors spend more energy on commerce, science and arts than his own army.
